HOW TO CLEAN YOUR BIKE CHAIN WITH GT85 x FRANCIS CADE

Been out for a ride and want to know how to clean your bike chain with GT85? Remember to extend the lifespan of your bike’s chain and save cash by giving a muddy bike a wash straight after. Just listen to avid cyclist Francis Cade now:

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR BIKE CHAIN  

  • Get a bucket of soapy water (washing up liquid is a great degreaser) 
  • Grab a soft-bristled brush and apply the soapy water all over your drivetrain, scrubbing at the chain ring – this will keep it away from your wheel hub bearings (you don’t want to degrease these) 
  • Keep scrubbing until it’s shiny and leave to dry 
  • Once dry, spray GT85 on an old, clean rag and rub it all over the chain
  • Finally, add a layer of chain lube to keep it well-oiled
