EERILY EPIC, BEST KEPT SECRETS TO WINTER CAR MAINTENANCE

Winter car maintenance with gt85

2 min read

Jack Frost is creeping about – so don’t let him catch you off guard. Grab your favourite formula and follow this winter car maintenance checklist and get stuck in.

WINTER CAR MAINTENANCE

  • CLEAN

Rinse off dirt and salt, especially from the chassis. Use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge to clean the paintwork, wheels and tyres, bumpers and grilles, glass and mirrors. Rinse and leave to dry.

  • LUBE

Stick the red nozzle onto your favourite formula and hit the key spots with some of the good stuff. Tackle door hinges, lock cylinders, weather stripping, hood latches, fuel caps, window tracks – you get the picture.

  • PROTECT

All the components you have lubed will be nicely guarded against the winter elements but remember to give the chassis some extra love; buff the paintwork and spray the trims for extra protection. A little extra elbow grease and you’ll bring back the shine. Happy days.

So you’ve lubed, cleaned and protected your car with GT85 but have you done your other winter car maintenance checks? Here’s some other things to double check:

  • Battery – is it charged and in good nick?
  • Belts and hoses – are they worn/brittle?
  • Brakes – are the brake pads worn?
  • Chassis – is it rust free?
  • Fluid levels – are they topped up?
  • Lights – are the headlights, brake lights and indicators working?
  • Tyres – got enough grip?

  • Wipers – do they operate smoothly?

Anything not working? Have a professional sort it.

Anything rusty? GT85 it.
